Throughout the first 6 months of 2023 several Provinces have been updating their electronic systems and revising their fee structures. British Columbia, Ontario and Saskatchewan are undergoing updates as follows:
BC Online– a modernization of all BC Online services is partially complete. Corporate services are currently in transition to the new BC registry application. Currently business searches, name request reservations and tradename/partnership registrations are fully migrated to the new BC registry application. All other corporate filings remain as part of the existing BC Online system. The fees for all services in BC remain unchanged.
Ontario– our office continues to use the OnCorp filing application and the Ontario Registry Direct application for all filings. OnCorp fees have been increased effective May 1, 2023. We are updating our catalogue to reflect these change. Onekey discount filing fees will be added for Ontario clients who have a company key and wish to use a secondary “Onekey” ID account in Ontario. Our updated fee schedule is due to be released in September. Please reach out to us via phone or email if you would like to learn more about establishing a “Onekey” ID account for your clients.
Saskatchewan– sweeping legislative changes came into effect in Saskatchewan on March 12, 2023. Many filings were impacted by these changes. Like Ontario and Alberta, Saskatchewan has removed the residency requirements for Directors and improved the electronic registration process. Our office will release a revised fee schedule for Saskatchewan in September 2023. To learn more about changes in Saskatchewan view the Government site here.
